Model CMTM -Magnetic Ducts
The Duct with Magnetic Drum produced by Gauss Magneti has a diversified field of application, it is used in the food and zoo technical industries as well as in glass recycling plants, plastic, wood, etc. for the extraction and the discharge of ferromagnetic intrusions from granules or powders of inert materials, low degree of humidity. The CMTM can operate using materials of sizes comprised between 1 and 30 mm. La CMTM lavora materiali di pezzatura compresa tra 1 e 30 mm.
The process material falls on the non-magnetic rotating casing, the ferromagnetic intrusions are attracted by the magnetic drum, then they follow the rotation of the non-magnetic casing and they are released into the rear drain, where they are collected in a container. The process material, free from intrusions, falls into the front exhaust of the sorter.
The CMTM ducts are distinguished by the type of permanent magnets used:
- Ferrite: very widespread magnet, it can withstand high temperatures (up to 300°C) and generates a deep magnetic field
- Rare Earth (Neodymium Iron Boron): with high magnetic induction and very high coercion force, it is for these reasons most suitable for separating small materials or materials embedded in the inert.
