Model LC-Series -Lamella Clarifiers
Ecologix clarifiers dramatically reduce the footprint of traditional clarifiers and maximize particle settling by using inclined lamella parallel plates to increase the settling surface area. Ecologix can provide clarifiers that are simple, flexible and extremely effective for removal of metals. We offer skid-mounted, fully integrated systems and stand-alone clarifiers for any industrial application.
Ecologix clarifiers are engineered to dramatically reduce the footprint, while maximizing particle settling to increase the settling surface area. Influent first enters the clarifier through the flash mix tank where it is rapidly mixed with coagulants; this reaction allows the particles to separate from the water and coagulate into larger particles. Water entering a slow mix chamber is gently agitated while adding flocculant polymer mix, further increasing the particle size, then flowing down a settling chamber, entering the plate packs through the sides and bottom of the clarifier. As the water flows up the plate packs the solids settle and slide into the sludge hopper at the bottom of the unit. The sludge is then removed and dewatered, allowing clean water to be discharged from the clarifier.
Clarifiers are highly efficient in removing heavy metals, ink and other contaminants from wastewater. Lamella-type clarifiers are the perfect solution when you need a system that will occupy less floor space. Ecologix clarifiers feature integrated rapid mix tank and floc tank, eliminating the need to buy these tanks separately and providing a dramtically simpler installation process. Our design ensures precise mixing so chemical coagulants can be used effectively and efficiently. Low shear mixers on the floc tanks help mix the coagulants without breaking the floc.
