Model REVX-E - Eccentric Eddy Current Separator
A new addition to the diverse range of Eriez non-ferrous metal separators providing unique solutions for the dynamically changing recycling industry. Eriez's new eccentric ECS, RevX-E, is designed with an eccentrically mounted magnetic rotor within the nonconductive larger diameter shell. This eccentric rotor concentrate eddy current forces into a zone of separation at the end of the belt. By focusing its field, this design ignores ferrous material in the flow.
Main Features:
- Eccentric magnetic rotor which produces a powerful focussed field
- Rotor position is adjustable for optimum separation
- Reduces long-term wear from ferrous buildup
- Designed for ease of installation into new and existing recycling plants
- Access panels conveniently located for easy service
- Low energy consumption
- Robust.
Eriez manufacture 3 types of eccentric ECS :
- ST-22 suitable for fine material such as PET flake, typically smaller than 25mmm
- ST-2 suitable for coarser material such as aluminium cans, brass hinges, between 12mm and 25mm.
- LT suitable for particles over 25mm
Applications
- Recovery of aluminium, copper, zinc, etc from car frag
- Installed after a heavy media system to further improve metal recovery
- Extract aluminium beverage cans from either pre-sorted or mixed refuse
- Remove aluminium rings and bottle tops from crushed glass cullet
- Separate non-ferrous metals from incinerator ash
- Expel aluminium from foundry sand
- Salvage aluminium from crushed dross
- Many others
