Model TM -Magnetic Drums
Magnetic Drums are widely adopted in the metal recycling plants, WEEE, in the treatment and recovery of waste, slag, ores; wood, glass etc. for the recovery of ferromagnetic intrusion of small, medium and large sizes from inert and non-ferrous materials, but they are also used for the protection of installations where the presence of ferromagnetic intrusions will cause damages. The drums are essentially constituted by an adjustable magnetic assembly, which extends over ï€180 °, placed inside a casing of non-magnetic steel, rotating on the axis of the drum.
Gauss Magneti designs and produces drums that can work both for material fall, both for material extraction. The ferromagnetic intrusions are attracted by the static magnetic field of the drum and thus separated from the process material, they are retained on the non-magnetic rotating cylinder, until they reach the discharge area, located outside the magnetic field.
The process material, free from ferromagnetic intrusions, continues the path for inertia, falling directly into a container or on a conveyor belt. In the permanent magnets drum TM, the magnetic field is generated by ferrite or rare earth magnets, in accordance with the application required. Gauss Magneti guarantees magnetization for 20 years.
These products also require minimal maintenance.
