As Samsun Makina Sanayi A.S. We take care that the concept of SUSTAINABILITY to stand at the center of our development model. We act with the principles of security of supply, competition and environmental protection in energy in our productive facilities and new investments. We target to use domestic and renewable resources in the most efficient way with advanced technology and creative solutions. We are taking new steps to meet a significant proportion of our energy consumption from renewable sources such as solar and wind energy.

Within this scope, we installed a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 12.65 MWp for self-consumption at the Adana Factory site of Samsun Makina Sanayi A.S. and put it into use as of May 2022. Our additional investment is in progress to increase the power of this project to 18.25 MW.

Also as another investment of Samsun Makina Sanayi A.S., Aksu Clean Energy Wind Power Plant with 80 MW power, established in Yahyali, Kayseri, safely meets a significant part of the energy needs of our Adana and Samsun Factories within the framework of bilateral agreements. Aksu WPP provides carbon credit production equivalent to approximately 125,000 tons per year.

The RES-G (Renewable Energy Sources) documents produced at our other related power plant, Manyas HEPP, are also being matched with the electrical energy consumed at our Samsun Factory.

Samsun Makina Sanayi A.S., by including the establishment of a new solar power plant with a power of 24 MWm for self-consumption in Yahyali district of Kayseri in its investment plans, for this purpose, has made the necessary land acquisitions and has obtained connection permits from the relevant institutions. Planning is to complete relevant investments in 2023.

Within the framework of our ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY CULTURE, we commit to fulfill our responsibilities for the prevention of pollution in our production facilities, in all production processes starting from the supply chain and during the lifetime use of our products, to make continuous improvement, and to carry out activities in accordance with environmental standards, legal regulations and administrative regulations.

We fulfill our commitment with the principles of using renewable energy sources that we use in our facilities, clean air, eliminating global warming and helping to eliminate the country`s dependence on fossil fuels from abroad.
