MONTZ - Model KSG -Cross Flow Tray

The MONTZ-Cross Flow Tray Type KSG is designed as a mass transfer tray with performance characteristics of a valve tray but without moving parts.  This design makes is particularly suited for retrofits of existing columns and for multi-purpose distillations.

Properties:

Due to its particular design and contrary to general practice, the MONTZ high performance tray prevents the negative impact of opposite direction gas streams.

  • Neighboring exit cross-sections are staggered by 90°.  As a result, the entrainment rate of the tray is limited.  The design of the gas channels with rounded flow edges further promotes low pressure drops of the tray.
Applications:
  • This tray type is used for distillations and for scrubbing. 
  • Due to its wide operating range, it is particularly suited for the upgrade of existing columns to increase throughput. 
  • Well proven for multi-purpose distillations.

Materials:

  • Stainless steels: 1.4301, 1.4404, 1.4571, 1.4000, 1.4435, 1.4539 etc.
  • Hastelloy C4, Aluminium, Copper, Titanium, Monel, Tantallum etc.
