Special-fabric packing for separation of thermally unstable substances under vacuum. MONTZ-Pak Type A3 satisfies particularly the special demands posed by the separation of thermally unstable substances under vacuum conditions.  This becomes possible primarily through a special fabric with excellent wetting characteristics by capillary effect, which form the packing layers in the shape of rippled disks.  This packing type also works very well for very small quantities of liquid loads due to low pressure losses and high separation efficiencies.

The high-performing sheet metal packing; MONTZ-Pak Type B1 is the result of years of experience and development in the field of thermal separation technology with structured packings for mass transfer. MONTZ-Pak Type B1 has proven its performance in many technical applications. The exceptional properties are possible through the regular geometrical arrangement of corrugated sheets and its particular MONTZ surface structure.

High performance packing for thermal mass exchange. BSH packings combine the essential features and properties of sheet metal packings and fabric packings in one packing type.  The patented surface structure is an outstanding characteristic of the BSH packing.  It consists of rhomboidal openings with alternatively crimped edges.  This structure results in an exceptional and uniform wetting of smallest as well as large liquid loads.  Turbulences caused by the crimped edges of the openings create a continuous mixing of the liquid film on the packing surface.

The properties and areas of applications of the high performance packings Type MN and M are not fundamentally different from standard packings.  Established operational experiences and areas of applications remain valid.

The THORMANN Tray is a tray for scrubbing processes and vacuum distillations.  It is capable of processing even smallest quantities of liquid, e.g. from 40 l/(m² h) with minimum pressure drops of ca.  1 - 2 mbar per tray.

Adaptable and Robust; The tunnel tray is a robust modular construction developed by MONTZ.  The modular design assures a high stability at low weight, which offers economic advantages over conventional constructions.  The variable construction elements enable a variety of constructive design opportunities and adaptation to all operating conditions.

The MONTZ-Cross Flow Tray Type KSG is designed as a mass transfer tray with performance characteristics of a valve tray but without moving parts.  This design makes is particularly suited for retrofits of existing columns and for multi-purpose distillations.

System accessories for MONTZ-Structured Packings. Liquid catchers are positioned between two packing sections: The sprinkling liquid from the top packing bed is collected by the liquid catcher tray and is redirected from here to a distribution tray to feed the bottom packing bed. In the vicinity of the catcher tray it is possible to provide feed-ins of liquid streams and lateral vents for steam and liquids.
