Mount Sopris - Model 19GR -Nano Gamma Ray Probe
The 19GR Nano Gamma is the slimmest downhole gamma probe in existence today. At only 19.05 mm (0.75 inches) in diameter, it can be used inside Geoprobe push tubes to collect lithological information in soils or other hard to reach zones. It is operated as a standalone pulse probe on the Matrix acquisition system. The natural gamma probe measures the amount of gamma radiation occurring naturally within the formations crossed by a hole. Gamma rays are produced mainly by isotopes of potassium, thorium, and uranium. The gamma log is widely used in the groundwater and environmental industries to identify lithology and perform containment analyses.
