CHEMetrics - Model V-2000 & V-3000 -Multi-Analyte Photometers

CHEMetrics® handheld, portable V-3000 Photometer offers cutting edge technology for applications in the field and in the laboratory. Intuitive and easy to use, the menu guides the analyst through all measuring tasks and is pre-programmed with 50+ calibrations, using both CHEMetrics Vacu-vials® ampoules and MDL+ test kits (see below), making this instrument the perfect partner in the field whatever the application. Web-based methods update and data logging for 100 data sets. The V-2000 Photometer is a field-portable instrument that automatically tests pre-programmed analytes employing CHEMetrics both Vacu-vials® ampoules and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) vials. It is best suited for those who want to test COD in addition to other analytes.

The V-2000 is designed to measure all of CHEMetrics photometric products, namely Vacu-vials and COD kits. It contains a dedicated program for each analyte and test range, and the program required is simply dialled up on the unit. The user places the filled ampoule or vial in the photometer. A built in timer automatically counts down the correct length of time for colour development for the test being performed. The V-2000 assists the user through the test via on screen prompts, and at the end of the test, a concentration reading is displayed to a configurable number of decimal places. The V-2000 has a memory of 100 readings, including time/date stamps, and the user can choose to either save individual readings of interest manually, or to set the unit to automatically save and log readings (data points). These data points can be transferred to a text file or spreadsheet on a computer or sent directly to a printer. The V-2000 can also be customised to suit the user`s preferences, including display of units and decimal places.

The V-2000 is of course fully upgradeable. As new photometric test kits are released by CHEMetrics, a simple update procedure uploads the new test programs into your photometer, keeping your V-2000 up to date. The software updates are available fordownload free of charge from the Galgo web site.

The V-2000 can also be used to measure any type of cuvette or vial, designed for photometric analysis, provided that they are either 13mm or 16mm in diameter, to show either absorbance or percent transmittance readings. The V-2000 can even be programmed with up to 10 custom test calibrations, to display concentration readings for any additional desired tests. The unit is very simple to use, but includes a wide range of powerful features and is highly adaptable. The V-2000 is shown below being used in conjunction with CHEMetrics COD vials.
