MGF MULTI GRADE SAND FILTRATION

Multi-grade filter has more than one media for filtration. Other than filtering sand more porous media are utilized for filtration.

Because of their better porosity, entrasite and garnet are used as the primary filtering media along with the filtering sand as second level. The outlet of multi-grade filter can give less than 2 NTU turbidity.

Carbon filtering is a method of filtering that uses a bed of activated carbon to remove contaminants and impurities, using chemical adsorption. It is commonly used for water decolourization/deodourisation, TOC reduction and chlorine removal.
