Needle (plunger) valves are widely used in flow regulating or pressure control applications. Due to its special inner structure, flow cross section is always circular and it allows for precise control. Flow is always guided to the center of the pipe axis where bubbles from and recover without damaging the equipments in the line. Upstream and downstreams pressure and require flow rate defines the type of cavitation ring to be used. Ä°t is strongly recommed to have 10 x DN straight line upstream and downstream of the needle valve. Needle valves can be manuel operated electric actuated (on/off or modulating), hydraulic operated with counter weight depending on the application needs.
