Parson - Model CC -Odoreater Manhole Inserts
PARSON ODOREATERS are a specially designed Manhole Insert, with the addition of a canister containing 20 lbs. of activated carbon or non-impregnated, activated catalytic carbon (Parson Odoreater CC Manhole Insert), that trap and store unpleasant hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan odors. Purified air is then allowed to ventilate into the atmosphere through the canister lid. A one-way valve allows water to drain, but no air to pass through it.

PARSON ODOREATER MANHOLE INSERTS are manufactured from Ultra High Density, high molecular weight Polyethylene, with a finish thickness of 1/8". A corrosion resistant 1" heavy weight polypropylene strap and closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene gasket are factory installed. The canister holding the activated carbon is manufactured of PVC.
Due to varying levels of H2S concentration, this chart should assist in estimating the expected life span of the activated carbon. It is recommended to replace or rejuvinate carbon at least every 6 months.
