ALKEN® TREATMENT 552 is a free flowing, powder-form, catalyzed oxygen scavenger that combines chemically with dissolved oxygen in feedwater or in the boiler to inhibit the formation of oxygen-induced corrosion, including pitting.

ALKEN® TREATMENT 52 is packaged in lined fiber drums, holding 100 lbs. or 300 lbs. which conform to Performance Oriented Packaging Specifications. 50 lbs. can be packaged in 5 gallon plastic pails, but a minimum order of 10 pails is required. Store packaging closed, except when opened to extract product, in a cool, dry area.

ALKEN® TREATMENT 52 is formulated in compliance with 21 CFR 184.1139 regulations for boiler water additives used in preparation of steam that will contact food, but was never submitted to USDA,so we advise clients to purchase ALKEN® TREATMENT 53 instead, if they need a treatment for steam contacting food.
