ParaTrackMagnetic Intersect for HDD Guidance

SHARE
ParaTrack Magnetic Intersect is a well-integrated component of the standard ParaTrack HDD Guidance System. It has been successfully used in horizontal directional drilling (HDD) intersections for nearly 25 years. The system uses both passive and active magnetic intersect methods which allow for a broad range of HDD intersects, regardless of length. Magnetic Intersect data is collected during standard pilot bore surveying via ParaTrack's guidance equipment, thus simplifying the configuration and minimizing potential failure points. This seamless integration ensures low operating costs. As opposing bores approach an intersection, ParaTrack sensors gather magnetic field data which is transmitted to the surface for processing. The proprietary algorithms in RivCross Guidance Software analyze this magnetic data to provide crucial steering information needed for successful intersections, eliminating the need for additional equipment.

Magnetic Intersect has been part of the standard ParaTrack™ HDD Guidance toolkit for nearly 25 years.

Accurate.
ParaTrack™ pioneered the HDD intersection technique and continues to lead the industry with an array of passive and active magnetic intersect methods that make completing HDD intersects of any length achievable for contractors both large and small.

Affordable.
Magnetic Intersect data are acquired as part of normal pilot bore surveying using standard ParaTrack™ guidance equipment. This simplifies the tool configuration, minimizing the number of potential failure points, while keeping operating costs low.

Simple.
As two opposing bores approach for intersection, ParaTrack™ sensors collect magnetic field data which is then transmitted to surface for processing. Proprietary algorithms in RivCross™ Guidance Software analyze the magnetic data and provide the precise steering information required to complete a successful intersection.
