DragonflyPassive Sensors

SHARE

The Dragonfly strain sensors represent an evolution in piezoelectric sensor technology, emphasizing both flexibility and robust design. These sensors are noted for their thin and lightweight characteristics, boasting the title of the world's thinnest piezoceramic sensor. Equipped for precise and reliable performance, they are designed for large-scale deployments and offer a plug-and-play experience. The Dragonfly Passive sensor provides high sensitivity across a wide bandwidth, functioning optimally from 0.01 Hz to 1 MHz with no power requirement, while operating up to 140°C. The Dragonfly IEPE sensor also features commendable sensitivity and operates within a frequency range of 0.02 to 100,000 Hz, powered by a low-consumption 4 mA current. Both sensors cater to diverse applications through their capability to conform to curved and complex shapes. Notably, Dragonfly sensors achieve low intrinsic noise levels, allowing for more precise measurements and higher accuracy. Furthermore, they are environmentally conscientious, boasting a lead-free composition, setting them apart in piezoelectric technology.

High Sensitivity

Dragonfly® offers one of the lowest instrinsic noise on the market. A chosen and qualified packaging works as an extra shield.

On the field, this very low noise level results in both an ability to measure smaller deformations and a higher accuracy in overall monitoring.

Flexible – Plug & Play

Dragonfly® matches curved and 3D surfaces or complex geometric shapes, widening the diversity of assets it can monitor.

The sensor is provided pre-wired with an SMA coaxial standard cable that enables easy connexion with any data acquisition system.

High Dynamic Range

Dragonfly® large measurement range (amplitude) coupled with its significant bandwidth (frequency) covers a large spectrum of events.

A single sensor is enough to capture key vibration data where several sensors are usually required.
