PB Equipment - Draft Tube Basin Mixer
The Draft Tube Basin Mixer is available with a galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel draft tube, and with a flow capacity of up to approximately 5,500 gallons per minute. Multiple units may be used in larger basins to prevent settling and keep the basin contents homogenous. The unit is ideal for anoxic basins and where aerated mixing is not desired.
The PB Equipment, Inc. Draft Tube Basin Mixer provides thorough and vigorous mixing with an easy to maintain unit that doesn’t require any serviceable parts below water. Complete with extra heavy-duty grease-able roller bearings, self-cleaning propeller, stainless steel shaft, and variable speed drive unit all in a removable drive cartridge assembly. This mixer doesn’t suffer from any of the problems experienced by submersible basin mixers. If any major drive components ever need to be replaced, the entire cartridge may be easily removed from the fixed draft tube without dewatering the basin. As a result stocking of a spare drive cartridge can keep any outages to a minimum and costs down. Additionally, the VFD integral to the motor may be easily adapted to nearly any plant automation and SCADA system.
