Narda RadMan2Personal Radiation Monitor

SHARE

Small, handy, reliable ... You can tell that the RadMan 2 is the result of more than 20 years of experience with the best-selling personal RF monitor of all time. The attractively priced, handy test and warning device meets all the demands placed on a high-performance personal radiation monitor. With its wide frequency range up to 60 GHz (XT version), it covers all ranges including 5G and millimeter waves. Regardless of the frequency and distance to the radiation source, it warns safely and reliably in accordance with national and international personal protection standards. The warning is unmistakably loud and clearly visible thanks to extremely bright LEDs and vibration. With its exemplary price-performance ratio, the RadMan 2 is therefore the ideal device for the simultaneous monitoring of E and H fields and protection in the near-field range.

Loud and clear

Conspicuous alarm display with unmistakably loud signal tone, extremely bright indicator light and additional vibration alarm.

Operating safety

The proper functioning of the individual sensors is automatically checked each time the system is commissioned. The battery level is also checked.

Pulse mode

Reliable detection of pulsed signals (e.g. radar) in the XT version by switching the integration time to 30 ms (pulse mode).

RF detection with sound search function

Enables precise leak detection on waveguides and coaxial screw connections. The disconnection of antennas can also be checked quickly and easily.

Individual security

The XT device version allows the alarm thresholds to be set individually.

Uncomplicated handling

The patented shaping (frequency response evaluation) displays the field strength in "% of the limit value" - directly in accordance with ICNIRP, FCC or Safety Code 6.

Display and warning signals

The current field exposure is displayed in six levels from 5 % to 200 %. The percentage corresponds to the limit value exhaustion of a personal protection standard in relation to the power density. As soon as the field exposure exceeds 50 %, the first warning level is triggered. The second alarm threshold warns even more urgently at 100 % of the limit value. With the RadMan 2XT variant, the alarm thresholds can be set individually.

Standard conformity through frequency response evaluation

The RadMan 2 complies with the recommendations of ITU-T K.145 with regard to the use and characteristics of personal radiation monitors. The limit values specified in the standards are frequency-dependent. Weighting filters in the sensors reproduce the frequency curve of the standard and ensure that the alarm thresholds are correct over the entire frequency range. A separate setting is not necessary.

Personal monitors are mainly worn on the body. An RF absorber is therefore integrated into the practical holder for attachment to the climbing harness or belt, which reduces signal reflections caused by the body. The RadMan 2 can be removed from the holder and displays an isotropic measurement result for leak detection on waveguide and coaxial screw connections.

PC software included

The Radman 2-TS software is included in the scope of delivery. This allows the content of the data recorder to be easily transferred to a PC via the USB interface for further processing.
