Pflow - Safety Gates for Material Handling Lifts
PFlow Industries manufactures and sells safety gates for our material handling lifts. All accessible sides of a lift that are not used for loading or unloading must be protected by enclosures that are at least 8′ high and capable of rejecting a ball 2″ in diameter at each level.
In manual loading applications, each vertical reciprocating conveyor unit must be equipped with a safety gate that is mechanically interlocked with the movement of the lift’s carriage.
Fire doors, acoustic doors, finish doors, etc, are acceptable if they are provided with appropriate interlocks. PFlow safety gates are equipped with a mechanical lock and contact interlock.
We offer three main types of vertical lift safety gates: swing, sliding and vertical acting designs. See below for a details of each.
- PFlow single and bi-parting swing gates are code approved.
- Standard single and bi-parting swing gates provide 7′ 0″ load clearance.
- Maximum single panel width: 6’ (overall) mounted on a 5′ wide carriage.
- Standard bi-parting panel width: Up to 8′ (overall) mounted on a 7′ 0″ wide carriage and 8′ to 11′ (overall) mounted on a 10′ 0″ wide carriage.
