MORE ON MOORES
Moores Glassworks has been producing glassware for 50 years from its factory headquarters in Surrey in the United Kingdom. In the early days medical, surgical and laboratory glassware was the primary market with the focus being on products such as conical flasks, boiling flasks, test tubes, chemistry sets and other laboratory equipment.

In the mid 1980’s Moores Glassworks was taken over by Peter Ward. This led to heavy investment and a change in direction from standard laboratory equipment to specialist, sophisticated and electronic glassware.

HIGHLY SKILLED ENGINEERS
Highly skilled glassblowers and engineers manufactured products such as Cathode Ray Tubes, Photomultiplier Tubes,Stems / Pinches and Hollow Cathode Tubes. These products are still manufactured today and are used in assisting the medical and military industries. Cathode Ray Tubes originally used to be used in TV’s but now play an important role in military vehicles such as tanks and helicopters.

They can be found in helmet mounted head up displays and are used by the Navy, Air force and Army. Photomultiplier Tubes are used in CT scanners and X-Ray scanning machines used in hospitals and airports.
