Promeco - Plastic Densifier Machine
The densifier PROMECO (Promeco Extruder System) is the simple, easier and efficiency solution for plastic densify and agglomeration. The flexibility of the system can process different plastics as: Mix plastics as scraps, industrial & commercial and waste plastics. Plastics (PE, HDPE, EPS, PP, PVC as foil shredded, powder or similar).
Working system
The densifier Promeco Extruder System is a short double screws extruder, that grind the input material thanks the double effect of friction and pressure that generate an important temperature increasing of the material into the extruder chamber.
The input material, after a properly pre-treatment, are charge into the feeding hopper of the densifier Promeco Extruder System.
The feeding bunker have two feeding screws that move the incoming material into a vibro-channel that dose the material in the extruder chamber where there is a termo-mecchanichal process for the incoming material thank the heating rise-up generated from the friction between screws, extruder chamber and the material too. The high temperature guarantee to remove a high portion of the water content present into the material. Normally the average water content is around 18%, but the machine can work up 20-23% according some devices installed on the matrix.
The main motor generally oversized to have the best result also in case of hard material. Normally in the almost situation the power consumption is not over 60% of the installed one.
According the level sensor installed o the feeling hopper, is possible to handle the incoming material come from the conveyor belt for machine charging. A further screw or conveyor belt in installed after the die to download the output material.
The densifier Promeco Extruder System body structure is made for heavy duty work and operations. The properly design projected from Promeco’s engineers guaranty that all torques are complete download on the structure of the machine, installed on a properly resistance floor or iron plates dedicated. The speed of the main motor can be handle to change the rpm of the Promeco Extruder System to obtain different characteristics and quality of the out coming product.
System flexibility
Normally the waste have different size, water content, density and composition variable so the densifier Promeco Extruder System has been projected to handle in the best way this difference can be into the material need to be treat in automatic mode. The control system, based on the PLC logic, continuously check the most important parameters as the current and temperature on the plate of the machine and then arrange automatically the working process.
Input material
Thermoplastic plastic and plastic waste
- No metal or inert matters D> 4 mm;
- low presence of extraneous materials
- Pre-treatment required as shredding.
- Mix plastic with similar melting point
- PE comes from washing line and PE, PVC, PP,EPS, Tetrapack scraps Al+PE or mix of different polyolefin
Products
Plastic melted
- Out coming size of the melted material from 25 to 60 mm.
- Water content < 1% H2O
- Completely melted and homogenized.
RPF agglomerated
- The product agglomerate have and high bulky density and homogeneous characteristics of quality with an important water content reduction than the input. A product suitable for the burner of cement mill.
- Bulky density up-to 0,6 kg/dm³.
- Water content residual from 3 to12 % according the incoming water content

Plastic melted output
Plastics (LDPE, HDPE, PP, EPS, PVC, polylaminated scraps Al+PE, etc.)
The treatment capacity depends greatly on the characteristics of the input plastics and on the required density of the product: it can reach 1.500 Kg/h. From a material with a specific weight varying between 180-220 kg/m³, a moisture content lower than 15%, principal dimension around 4 cm and an output product with Ø=35 mm, density = 1 kg/dm³, the treatment capacity of a single PROMECO Extruder type 600M400 is about 1.500 Kg/h.
