Dafo FomtecModel Class A -Enviro SPX 1% -Plastic Fluorine Free Foam

SHARE

Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% is a fluorine free firefighting foam with no intentionally added fluorinated surfactants and polymers (PFAS). Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% is especially designed to be an effective “fluorine-free” alternative for sprinkler systems used to fight fires in plastics and Class A materials. Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% can be used at 1% with low expansion discharge devices and sprinkler systems. For use on class A type fires induction ratio of 0.1-1% is recommended, depending on the application and discharge device. Fomtec SPX 1% is a low viscous, Newtonian liquid and, easily pumped and propor-tioned.

Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% is intended for use on class A fires such as wood, paper, textiles, etc, as well as fires in plastic materials. The product’s ability to reduce the surface tension of water enables quick penetration into fibrous materials, enabling deep cooling that can lead to rapid fire suppression in class A materials. Class A foam will generate a stable foam capable of sticking to vertical surfaces, enabling protection against radiant heat. On plastics, the performance is proven through testing as per VdS 3896 when used at 1%. Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% is especially suited whenever a non-fluorinated foam (no intentionally added PFAS) with high fire performance is required. Approved for use in sprinkler systems as per VdS 3896 using non-aspirating standard sprin-klers. Suitable for mobile firefighting by use of aspirating or non-aspirating foam discharge devices such as foam branch-pipes, handline nozzles, and monitors, where application rates and technique can be adjusted to the specifics of each incident. Or in systems designed for use with the product based on recommended minimum application rates, applica-tion duration, and discharge devices. Sprinkler applications of this product for suppression of fires in plastics materials shall follow design guidelines as specified in VdS 3214 standard.
