The RF-OH31 Plastic Level Switch is designed for horizontal mounting to provide either high or low-level signals. Its reversible nature allows it to be configured as normally open or closed, accommodating diverse application requirements. The switch features a default 300mm lead, though customization for different lead or cable lengths is possible, subject to minimum order quantities. The operation is based on a magnetic principle, where the switch's reed contacts close the electrical circuit when a magnetic float approaches, and open it when the float moves away, ensuring reliable circuit control. Principle
When the magnetic field of permanent magnet inside the float is moved into to the proximity of the reed switch inside the stationary stem, the reed switch contacts “snap” together and closes the electrical circuit. When the magnetic field is moved away from the reed switch, the reed switch contacts move apart and the circuit is opened.
