Plastics Technology
The plastics technology division specialises in the production of high-quality housing modules and trim parts. Our internationally based customers from the areas of medical and laboratory technology, the automotive industry and the construction and energy sectors value our overall expertise in development, injection moulding, surface finishing and assembly all from a single source. Thanks to three production sites in Bavaria, Thuringia and the Czech Republic, we increase delivery reliability with our risk management. We also have environmental certifications and produce our own green electricity and heat with PV and CHP. Heat recovery systems further improve our ecological footprint. We do not process any PVC for reasons of environmental protection. Our strict quality assurance regularly subjects our products to numerous defined tests. For example, coatings are tested in a special light chamber and measurements are performed for colour fidelity and layer thickness.
Conceptually, our developers assist you from your initial idea or existing technical design to the finished product.
With custom projects of these types, having all competences and experience united at one location and acting in concert, as is the case at HOLZAMMER, presents a crucial advantage.
In the development phase, all of our divisions give their valuable input, providing support right from the very first moment in the process. This allows us to develop your product for ideal production and assembly.
With a modern, finely tuned machine park (with locking forces from 1,200 kN to 16,000 kN), we process virtually all granulated thermoplastics. One of our company’s focuses is the chemical foaming process. Thermoplastic foam moulding is ideal for complex technical components with very different wall thicknesses, for example for large housing components.
No matter which injection moulding technology we use, the components are produced in accordance with strict quality standards and can be customised and manufactured for you efficiently from small quantities.
In short:
Compact injection moulding shot weight: Up to 6 kg
Thermoplastic foam injection moulding shot weight: Up to 20 kg
Locking forces: 1,200 kN to 16,000 kN
The surface finish determines the outer appearance of your product!
Whether structured or smooth coating, single- or multi-colour, we support you in realising your colour design right from the start and put your project into practice.
We perform coating in an automated coating unit or by hand. On request, we then we print, apply decals or stickers, metallise or polish each part.
Inspection of the coated components is always visual, so a standardised evaluation isn’t easy. To express this in numbers, we perform a wide range of colour and gloss level measurements for quality assurance purposes, test the durability and thickness of the coats of paint as well as the entire component in a special test chamber under standardised conditions.
