Automatic Alerts
Alert notifications send an SMS or email about events such as tampering (magnetic interference, reverse flow, unauthorized command, meter removal and shifting of meter alignment); loss of communications; leakage; and low-battery.
On-Site or Remotely Programmable
Various parameters can be programmed on-site with a PowerCom Hand Held Unit or configured remotely. This includes the ability to switch between credit and prepayment mode (a remote shut-off valve is optional); firmware upgrade; and uploading of tariff tables (incl. TOU and step tariff) within the meter.
Identify Non-Revenue Water
Smart water meters are also installed at the entrances of the network and at the various junctions. Two way communications synchronizes all the water meters’ real time clocks ensuring accuracy of the data analysis. At every predefined interval (hour), all meters register the readings at the same time and transmit the data wirelessly. All the water meters under the corresponding hierarchy report total flow in order for the system to continuously monitor, calculate and report any discrepancies and un-normative consumption profiles. The management software calculates the water loss in each pipe segment and sends an alert notification (including information on the location of the event - area/neighborhood/ dwelling) by SMS or email to the system operators.
Customer Engagemet
An on-line multi-lingual customer portal displays consumption information in selectable intervals and display formats. Consumers can also view prior bills, and define alerts (SMS/Email) such as suspected leakage, as well as consumption over a predefined limit.
