RPM-Boss - Precision Monitoring for Belt and Fan Speed

Rel-Tek developed its precision RPM sensor with an on-board processor and 106 frequency reference to provide high precision.  It has a magnetic pickup for detecting a rotating magnet on the rotating shaft.  Auto-ranging covers 10 to 40,000 pulses per minute, so it can be used on slow belts as well as on high speed fan shafts. It is MSHA classified for hazardous areas of underground coal mines.
