Pressure Retention and Overflow Valves
Pressure retention valves are normally used in plants that require invariable pressure. The valve regulates the pressure in front of the valve to a specified target value. The set spring force presses the piston onto the seal. If the plant pressure exceeds the value set for the operating pressure, the valve opens.

Overflow valves prevent excess pressure and pressure peaks in pipe systems. The streamlined design of the base, which is virtually free of dead spaces, keeps the loss of pressure inside the conduit at a minimum. The set spring force presses the membrane onto the seal. If the plant pressure exceeds the value set for the operating pressure, the valve opens.
