DUO-DUCT - Pump Station
The DUO-DUCT represents Smith & Loveless’ most innovative underground pump station design for smaller applications. It offers many outstanding benefits over conventional, packaged pump stations, because of its station design and durability. With increased work space because of the elimination of suction piping inside the station, and all the environmental equipment that makes the station suitable for continuous human occupancy, the DUO-DUCT station scores high with operators.

- Level Sensing Probe -- Enclosed within transparent dome for visual inspection of priming.
- Solid State Pump Controller -- Contains a microprocessor and pressure sensor control and is easily adjustable by use of a touch keypad. It provides accurate hydrodynamic readouts. It also reduces control system maintenance.
- Pressure Transducer -- This system accurately senses the liquid level in the wet well, eliminating the need for bubbler compressors and installation of a bubbler line.
- Environmental Equipment -- With a ventilation blower, dehumidifier and lighting, the station is suitable for continuous human occupancy and provides a dry, comfortable climate in which to work.
- Increased Station Room -- The station’s innovative design eliminated the suction piping inside the station, which allows for more room and easier maintenance.
- Integral Base Beam Suctions -- These beams serve as a conduit to the wet well while providing structural support and reinforcement to the station.
- Reduced Slab Requirements -- Due to the removal of suction mechanical joint connections, the concrete slab requirements are reduced. This allows the pump station and wet well to be placed closer together.

Integral Base Beam Suctions
- Serve as conduits to the wet well.
- Provide structural support that reinforces the station.

Static/Dynamic Pump Control

This pump control system utilizes a pressure transducer in fluid communication with the integral base beam suctions to sense the liquid level in the wet well, which provides accurate hydrodynamic level control. Pressure switches, in response to the incompressible fluid, relay control logic to the control panel. The pressure transducer provides a more positive means of measuring the wet well level and eliminates the need for bubbler compressors and installation of bubbler line, thus less maintenance. These DUO-DUCT® features not only provide superior technology, but also reduce construction costs, installation costs and maintenance expenses.
