Qubus - Semi Underground Waste Systems
Qubus is a new generation of semi underground equipment. It consists of the partial installation in the underground of high capacity containers (from 3m3 to 5m3 capacities) for the deposition of refuse and an attractive top cover placed above ground. A simple system, with extremely reduced maintenance costs and free of complex mechanisms, particularly in the lifting of the container for the collection.
Watertight concrete bunker
The concrete bunker is unitary, enabling it to be placed on its own or in groups with various configurations. The materials composition used in its manufacture prevent water infiltration and can be installed in higher phreatic level grounds.
Light weight container
The polyethylene containers were designed to provide exceptional mechanical resistance. The body has no metal parts in contact with the waste and the metal components used for handling of the container are made of hot-dip galvanized steel. It is available in 3m3 closed bottom container for rear collection and 3m3 and 5m3 capacities for top loading collection.

Sotkon developed a wide range of containers exceptionally resistant and easily adaptable to any existing rear and top loading collection vehicles: - a 3m³ closed bottom container for rear loading refuse collectors with EN840-2 bin lifter arms complemented with a light crane on top (single hook); - an open bottom container (3m³ or 5m³ capacities) for top loading trucks prepared for all the hooking systems available.
Highly resistant cover
Made of high density polyethylene, the cover opens easily up to a 90º degree angle with the assistance of two gas springs. It houses the waste entrance openings. Light, resistant, watertight and easy to handle, the cover can be customized as the client requires
Intake lids and reductions for the cover
The versatility and resistance of the polyethylene allows the manufacture of lids for the intake of waste with various formats and colours which can be used to indicate the type of waste to be deposited. It is also possible to develop lids with special entrance reductions for particular wastes.
Rectangular Reduction
The QUBUS semi underground solution presents an urban design that can be improved with a different coating on the exterior of the equipment. Materials like concrete, wood, aluminum or plastic can be used to decorate the exterior or the equipment. Other materials under consultation.
For Smart Cities
The SOTKIS Intelligent Management Systems is Sotkon’s vision to boost your collection operation. SOTKIS Level is a complementary solution to manage container filling level and to optimise collection routes. SOTKIS Access adjusts user taxation based on depositions and allows the implement of the PAYT concept. For this kind of equipment, Sotkon offers a SOTKIS Access 10L single drum, or 20L and 30L double drum that reads RFID Smart cards or tags. In this case, there are no lids on de cover but the single or double drums.
