Esmil - Radial Scraper
The primary clarifiers operate on the principle of wastewater sedimentation. Insoluble particles settle at the tank's bottom due to gravity, while lighter floating substances rise to the surface. These sludge and floating materials are then efficiently removed from the settling tank using bottom scrapers.
Esmil IRPO radial sludge scrapers are a comprehensive functional system consisting of equipment and technological devices such as a bridge truss, platform, scraper vanes, scrapers, and a geared trolley. This equipment ensures continuous, uninterrupted operation, contributing to a high level of water purification. With exceptional cleaning efficiency and gentle collection of sludge and floating materials, Esmil sludge scrapers are a crucial component in treatment facilities.
Esmil Group manufactures settling tanks with internal diameters ranging from 16 to 54 meters, with the option to produce custom-sized equipment for non-standard diameters.
Operating Principle and Benefits of Esmil Sludge Scrapers:
- The design allows for quick installation, ensuring easy access to all operational components for regular maintenance.
- When upgrading outdated equipment, the IRPO sludge scraper can be installed in existing settling tanks without modifying the concrete structure.
- The lightweight construction ensures a substantial reduction in energy consumption.
- ESMIL sludge scrapers are available with both peripheral and central drive options, ensuring full coverage of the settling tank area.
- The ergonomic bridge design allows for easy access and convenient maintenance of sludge scraper components.
- The equipment features a unique system for collecting floating substances. A static scraper moves surface scum from the center to the edges, after which the receiving hopper mechanism automatically transfers the scum to the surface scum collection chamber.
- The special design of the scrapers ensures the even movement of sediment to the central pit without causing excessive agitation. This design also prevents wear on the scrapers and protects the concrete bottom of the tank from abrasion.
- IRPO sludge scrapers come equipped with a tray edge cleaning system. The automatic brush is designed to function effectively in trays with both one-sided and two-sided overflow. Its rigidity is carefully selected to ensure efficient biofilm removal from the trays while maximizing its service life.
- The design incorporates special studs that enable precise adjustment of the deflector's position in relation to the water level in the settling tank.
- Sludge scrapers are equipped with peripheral drive slip protection devices for winter conditions, ensuring reliable operation even in cold weather.
Long-lasting performance:
- The sludge scrapers are constructed using AISI 304 stainless steel combined with polymer materials, ensuring long-lasting performance. A hybrid design using AISI 304 steel and aluminum alloys is also available.
- The reduced weight of the structure minimizes stress on system components, significantly enhancing the operational lifespan.
- The system's control unit allows for precise adjustments, including scraper movement speed, sediment collection rate, tray and side cleaning, bridge platform lighting, and overload protection for all key components.
Optional Equipment:
- Sludge scrapers can be equipped with a frequency converter, offering a wide range of adjustable movement speeds, which helps extend the equipment's service life.
- Custom-designed receiving hoppers can be produced based on the customer's specific requirements.
- Purified water collection trays, stainless steel ridged overflows, support columns, and flow reflectors.
- Sludge scrapers can also be outfitted with electric cleaners for the side tracks of settling tanks, mechanical cleaning devices for tray edges, and systems for collecting and removing floating substances from the tank's surface.
Additionally, the equipment can be integrated into a high-level automation system (SCADA) for streamlined operation and monitoring
