TerraTexRailroad Nonwoven Geotextiles

SHARE

Geosynthetic products are used in railroads to provide filtration, separation, and reinforcement under ballast. AREMA typically requires needle punch nonwoven geotextiles for this application; however, Hanes Geo also offers a range of geogrids for ballast and sub-ballast reinforcement. TerraTex® nonwoven geotextiles are made up of polypropylene fibers. These fibers are needled to form a stable and durable network such that the fibers retain their relative position. It is non-biodegradable and resistant to most soil chemicals, acids, and alkali with a pH range of 3 to 12. Unless noted otherwise, all values are minimum average roll values (MARV).
