Everise - Model RAL 10 -Raman Aerosol Lidar
There comes the Lidar Network Monitoring Era, higher requirements of data quality, data accuracy and calibration for network observation are required. Everise developed a new generation of aerosol lidar – Raman Aerosol Lidar RAL10. The RAL10 can obtain more accurate data, because the Raman channel was added on the basis of Mie Scattering Lidar. The RAL10 can also output much richer data products by advanced algorithms.
RAL10 measures N2 vibrational Raman backscattering by the 387nm Raman channel to reverse the atmospheric parameters. Compared with the traditional Mie Scattering Lidar, RAL10 can improve the data accuracy of atmospheric extinction coefficient, aerosol backscatter ratio as well as other parameters. Combined with the 355nm co-polarized and cross-polarized channel, RAL10 can accurately detect the polarization properties and distribution characteristics of atmospheric aerosols, and detect cloud layers variation in real time, etc.

The Raman Aerosol Lidar can output much richer data products, such as extinction coefficient, depolarization ratio, PBL, cloud base height, pollution classification, etc. It can identify the atmospheric molecules, cirrus cloud, altocumulus, volcanic ash, dust, marine aerosol, continental aerosol, aspheric aerosol, mixing layer, PBL, noise, etc.
