RAPP - Model KSL2 -Single Wavelength LED Illumination System
The KSL2 LED illumination system offers a high power, single wavelength light source for applications requiring precise sample illumination. Its compact design is complemented by a separate controller, allowing for both manual and software controlled usage, with support for analogue or digital modulation. The KSL2 is optimized for fast modulation and offers flexibility by integrating into various microscope systems, including those utilizing large camera sensors such as sCMOS or AMCCD. Users can achieve specific excitation due to its small bandwidth and expand their setup to include multiple excitation wavelengths by employing the beam combination cube FC-70. Its integration with the SysCon software adds to its utility, facilitating easy incorporation into UGA-42 photomanipulation setups. The KSL2's versatility is further enhanced with TTL ports for digital and analog external triggering, ensuring precise control tailored to experimental needs. It stands out by not requiring warm-up time and operating without excessive heat production, crucial for both living and fixed sample studies.
The KSL2 single wavelength LED illumination system is a light source for high power illumination. It is a compact device and includes a separate controller for manual or software controlled usage, analogue or digital modulation. The KSL2 does not require any warm-up time, produces no heat and can be modulated fast and easily. Thus, this illumination device is a most useful tool for fast acquisition of living and fixed samples. In addition, illumniation for the use with large camera sensors such as from sCMOS or AMCCD is possible.
Broad Portfolio
We offer a broad range of excitation wavelengths covering the visible and invisible light spectrum. The small bandwidth of the KSL2 enables specific excitation without cross stimulation in the sample. In addition, white light systems are available as well.
Flexibility
The KSL2 LED system can be coupled to the illumination path of the microscope directly or via a liquid light guide to all models of major microscope brands. For users requiring more than one specific excitation wavelength, the illumination setup can be enlarged by the beam combination cube FC-70. Finally, up to four KSLs can be fitted to one microscope port.
Versatile control
The KSL2 system includes a small controller for ample variable control either manually (internal mode) or via software control, to change or to switch the system on and off. The integration in our SysCon software gives the opportunity to implement the KSL2 into your UGA-42 photomanipulation setup. Available TTL ports for digital and analog external triggering enable fast modulation and allow more flexibility and versatility for your experiments.
