Raschig Bio-Pac - Random Packed Media
Bio-Pac is Jaeger Enviromental`s random packed polypropylene media ideally suited for trickling filter applications and submerged bed applications, including submerged aerated filters and submerged anaerobic systems. Wide range of material specific gravity available for varying media buoyancy. Bio-Pac is available with 30, 31 and 60 ft2/ft3 (100 and 200 m2/m3) of surface area.
Bio-Pac is manufactured of a strong, lightweight, thermoplastic resin (polypropylene) containing 1-2% carbon black and is suitable for wastewater treatment applications. The product is non-toxic to microorganisms, immune to rot, fungus and chemically resistant to normal concentrations of sewage acids, alkalis, organic solvents and organic compounds. Also, it has a high resistance to ultra-violet degradation, aging erosion and disintegration. Bio-Pac`s unique configuration ensures a random orientation when dumped into a reactor and eliminates the need for cutting or shaping during installation.
- Manufactured of polypropylene for long life.
- Available in surface areas of 30, 31 or 60 ft2/ft3( 100, 102 or 200 m2/m3)
- No cutting or shaping required for installation
Polypropylene used in the manufacture of the media shall conform to commercial standards with the following physical properties when tested in accordance with the method indicated:
