Raschig - Model RJ-A3 -Caged Float Valve

The RJ-A3 is a two-piece valve unit to maximize vapour rate flexibility. It comprises of a moveable light weight valve disk which is enclosed in an open orifice cage structure with four legs that are attached firmly to the tray floor. Dependant upon the vapour rate, the valve disk moves up or down within the cage structure and the maximum opening is controlled by the height of the cage legs. The light weight disk contains anti-stick spacer tabs such that when the valve is closed at low vapour rates, the annular space created by the tabs allows intense mixing of the horizontal vapour flow with cross flowing liquid. This prevents the valve disk from sticking to the tray floor. If desirable, flush seat RJ-A3 caged valves can be offered.
