Bentomat SDN is a reinforced needlepunched geosynthetic clay liner that encapsulates a layer of Volclay sodium bentonite between two nonwoven geotextiles needlepunched together for high internal shear strength and good interface friction performances. Bentomat SDN may be a cost effective alternative for steep slope liner/cover systems where overall liner system stability is important.
