Broadcaster - Model 2 (BC2-ST) -Remote Engine Controller
The Standard Broadcaster 2 (BC2-ST) is a remote engine controller that helps to simplify the process of operating diesel, natural gas, VFD or a combination of pumps. BC2-ST provides remote control of 8 pumps comfortably, whether mechanical or J1939 CAN Bus electronic engines. BC2-ST uses multi-band communication such as radio, cell/with satellite backup, and internet (cellular, Ethernet, WiFi). This system is controlled with our Rugged Tablet system where you can control and view multiple pumps at a time from one screen. BC2-ST has multiple built-in safeties and many different features to cater to a number of different industries and purposes such as agricultural, irrigation, water transfer, dewatering, series or parallel pump set-ups and municipal pumping.
- 12V or 24V systems
- Auto-start engine controller, displays all reported SAE J1939 parameters and diagnostic messages from engine ECU
- Rocker switch RPM control (digital, resistance)
- Boost pump cruise control (auto RPM control based on inlet pressure)
- Remote engine start/stop, includes warning beacon and audible alarm
- Display engine coolant temperature, engine oil pressure (J1939 only)
- Pump inlet and outlet pressure display and control
- 3 engine-speed preset buttons (adjustable from tablet) plus idle
- +/- 25 RPM speed increments
- Manual RPM control
- Heated LCD backlit display screen with push buttons (configurable)
- 8 relay pack (SPST) ON/OFF or adjustable ON time, 4 double-acting electric over hydraulic valves, no proximity control (5 available)
- Weather-proof enclosure
- 12” Windows-based Rugged Tablet with Broadcaster pump interface program and diagnostic tools
- Adjustable tablet holder with mounting hardware
- BC2 Serial Power Module, w/serial cables
- 900 MHz radio module kit
- Optional multi-band communication; cell phone with satellite backup internet (Cell, Ethernet, WIFI)
- Take control of pumping systems from a safe distance, no need to keep personnel in harm’s way
- With automatic staged RPM increase, pressures increase gently and the potential of a burst hose is minimized
- Reduce manpower requirements
- Save money
- Run pumping systems efficiently and minimize pump cavitation reducing engine and pump wear and maintenance costs
- Shutdown engines within 30 seconds or less
- Detects pressure drop due to rupture or disconnection of outlet hose or piping and will bring engines back to idle within seconds
- Using pump cruise feature – run boost pumps automatically based on inlet pressures
- Internet (cellular, Ethernet, WiFi)
- Cellular with satellite backup
- Mechanical RPM control – CAN Bus actuator
- Flow metering, water temperature sensing
- Tank level input
- Telescoping antenna pole
- Directional antenna
- Repeater assembly – radio module with 12V battery case and tripod stand
- Using pump cruise feature – run boost pumps automatically based on suction (inlet) pump pressures
- Adjustable inlet and outlet pump pressure settings
- Suction (inlet) pump pressure settings
- If the pressure drops below low-values setting, the engine will start to RPM down to minimize cavitation of the pump
- Discharge (outlet) pump pressure settings
- If the pressure rises above high setting, the engine will start to RPM down to a lower pressure in the hose
- Save hose from reaching a rupture pressure: set maximum hose protection pressure desired
- Detects rapid outlet pump pressure drop (2 sec) due to rupture or disconnection of outlet hose or piping and will bring engine back to idle within seconds
