Rovtech - Model N17 -Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs)
The N17 ROVs by Rovtech are designed to operate in extreme environments, with high radiation tolerances and corrosion resistance. In 1988 Rovtech provided the first ROV to be used in a nuclear facility, leading to further ROV usage in nuclear ponds at Sellafield and the development of Rovtech’s Seaker ROV, ultimately responsible for the consolidation of over 60 tonnes of spent nuclear fuel.
The N17 is an advanced ROV based on the proven technology of the Seaker ROVs, designed for operations in high radiation fields and radiologically contaminated water. Its stainless-steel frame and magnetic coupled thrusters, the N17 ensures durability and ease of maintenance.
