ResinTech - Model SIR-1300 -Hybrid Ion Exchange Resin Media
ResinTech SIR-1300 is a hybrid ion exchange resin media with catalytic properties to remove dissolved iron from potable and non-potable water. SIR-1300 oxidizes dissolved ferrous iron (FE2+) to insoluble ferric iron (FE3+). The resulting insoluble Iron particulates are effectively removed via filtration. The accumulated particulates can be removed with simple backwash and air scour.

No Regenerant Required
No salt or other chemicals are needed, however air scour is required to simultaneously add oxygen to the backwash water and loosen particulate iron so that it can be backwashed out of the tank.
