ABCO - Model RO-BW -Reverse Osmosis - Brackish Water Plants
ABCO Water designs and manufactures a range of fully customisable Reverse Osmosis plants, all of which are engineered using advanced 3D computer modelling and process design software. Equipment and pre and post treatment is selected based on both raw water quality and treated water quality requirements.
ABCO Water’s Reverse Osmosis – Brackish Water (RO-BW) plants are capable of up to 99.6% salt rejection. Typically used for reduction of Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) or desalination, they can also be used to target specific ions and for removal of particles, colloids, organics, bacteria and viruses.
ABCO Brackish Water systems are designed to treat feed water with TDS level <10,000 mg/L to produce potable water quality permeate. Optional upgrades are available to suit higher TDS feed water or to produce higher quality permeate (e.g. demineralised water).
- Most common method of TDS reduction (desalination)
- Effective removal of a wide range of contaminants, dissolved salts, minerals, bacteria, other impurities
- High recovery, typically 60-90% subject to feed water quality and treated water requirements
- Accurate simulation and consistent permeate water quality
- Energy efficiency, compared to other methods of desalination
- Scalability, skid/containerised plants can be easily scaled up or down
- Footprint, relatively small space required
- Low maintenance and ongoing operating costs
- Treating brackish bore water for potable or process use
- Treating surface water for potable or process use
- Treating potable water for process use (demineralised water)
- Treating wastewater for process reuse or complaint discharge to environment
