Ring Crushers

SHARE

Williams Ring Crushers are specially designed to reduce the size, and therefore the volume, of metal turnings, `bushelings`, or `clips` through efficient impact crushing. Where desired or appropriate, swing hammers can be substituted for the rings. Both types of crushers are built to produce their rated capacities, day after day, with minimum downtime.

  • Welded Steel Frame Heavy rolled plate and welded structural shapes provide extra resistance to shock and superior rotor support.
  • Renewable Liners Thick, easily replaceable liners protect interior surfaces and frame, assuring long service life.
  • Heavy-Duty Adjustable Breaker Plate Constructed of massive manganese steel members and externally adjustable to optimize crushing action and compensate for wear.

Rugged Rotor Assembly High tensile, heat-treated, alloy steel ring bolts are surface-hardened to resist wear. Shafts are turned from alloy steel forgings, normalized and tempered. They are also oversized to reduce vibration. Heavy-duty, self-aligning, double row, spherical roller bearings mounted in sealed housings ensure long rotor life.

Advanced Cage Bar Design Advanced design cage bars promote product size control. Where product requirements change, the cage can be field modified without special tools. Cast grid sections can be supplied, as can perforated metal cages where fine product is desired.

Tramp Metal Protection Smaller crushers incorporate advanced design, tramp metal traps to reduce damage from uncrushables. On larger models, ballistic hoppers are recommended. When larger crushers are equipped with recommended ballistic ejection systems, heavy tramp pieces are thrown up into the hopper and discharged through the chute. Additionally, patented Williams V.I.P. Separators are available for the most efficient removal of tramp metal before entering the crusher and particularly efficient protection of briquetting machines, when involved.

Automatic Overload Control Control panel incorporates automatic overload control, which stops infeed conveyor whenever the draw on the motor exceeds a preset amp load.
