Altek - Salt Slag Bins
In recent years, the value of pressing salt slag or salt-free slag produced from tilting rotary furnaces (TRFs) has become more prominent within the aluminium industry. The salt slag bins we supply are designed specifically to cope with the extreme heat generated from TRFs and can be used in a variety of dross press models and alternatively as a standalone salt slag cooling process.
We have an array of slag pans with different capacities, varying dimensions, and internal rib design to help rapidly cool and quench the thermiting process. Our unique alloy mean the pans are extremely durable and last many years longer than competing products and fabricated pans. Our customers have noted that after use of our slag bins, additional metal units had been saved as well as a significant reduction in maintenance and casting expenditure.
