San-I-Pak - Model “Auto” Series -Sterilizers
San-I-Pak`s Auto Series articulating chamber design has been developed in recognition of 3 major issues concerning the choice of a biohazardous waste treatment system. The first important issue is safe handling of the waste, the second issue is equipment capital cost and the third is operational cost. Of course there are many other concerns such as efficacy and equipment longevity, so we have designed the equipment for virtually all concerns with emphasis on the first three. This equipment has evolved incorporating suggestions and operational issues from the healthcare industry, creating the finest technological entry by the most experienced infectious waste treatment system manufacturing company in the world today.
The San-I-Pak “Auto” Series sterilizers are designed utilizing multiple chambers lined up with a common load platform, conveyor, compactor (S,L,XL,C,SC) and roll-off container. The capacities, configurations and options are site specific and unlimited. The “Auto” Series sterilizers offer several means of loading the infectious waste into the chamber; this can be accomplished via cart dumpers, conveyor belts, screw augers or manually. This provides the facility the capability of having an infectious waste treatment system that virtually eliminates operator handling of infectious waste. The unit is extremely compact by design and takes up 50% to 60% less space than systems capable of doing half the volume. The chambers are designed to insure proper load density for “total kill” sterilization, unlike other systems currently available. The multiple chamber design of San-I-Pak systems provides for processing redundancy and a built-in back up. It is extremely unlikely the entire system would be inoperable. If one of the many sterilization chambers is being serviced, the other completely independent chamber can be utilized until both are operational again. The units are designed for one person operation and require the least amount of operator handling of any steam sterilization system available.
- Hands Free/ Automated/ No Touch Systems
Employee safety is always at the forefront of an organization’s priorities. San-I-Pak has long recognized this and offers “no touch” automation: Hands Free loading and unloading which increases your employee’s safety when handling infectious waste.
- No Touch Automation (Optional)
San-I-Pak specializes in “No Touch Automation” and we use our experience in manufacturing and design to eliminate as many potential hazards to operators as possible. With the use of San-I-Pak’s “No-Touch” automatic loading systems, contact with untreated waste by the operator is eliminated. In addition to eliminating contact with untreated biohazardous waste we have also minimized any risk of a potential injury caused by loading waste into the treatment system.
- Auto-Weighing System
San-I-Pak offers a Auto-Weighing System for most equipment that facilitates waste auditing by programming the equipment to weigh and departmentalize each load processed allowing for reporting of wastes generated and processed by departments.
- Intel-I-Com System
San-I-Pak’s revolutionary new messaging system, anticipates the need for service, repairs, consumables and other performance factors by constantly analyzing equipment performance. Thereby averting un-scheduled downtime. Intel-I-Com automatically reports on employee performance, waste management efficacy, equipment performance change plus it is able to notify hauler of full container needing to be picked up. The system is remotely programmable to automatically respond to endless custom designed conditions requested by the user and may be tied into the monitoring of other hospital systems. This system could simplify waste management by automatically transmitting programmable messages to a fax or pager. This program comes with a set of default messages to notify waste hauler for container pickups, order support products, pre-failure diagnostics, as well as other performance information. Messages can be added or changed at the request of the facility. The applications for notification or communication with this system are limitless.
- In-House Monitoring System
Is a Windows compatible software program, written by San-I-Pak, which enables remote monitoring of the San-I-Pak equipment by either Environ-mental Services or Engineering management. The software allows the manager to monitor current, real-time functioning of the equipment and provides complete machine diagnostic capability. Additionally, the manager can down load all historic cycle information directly into the software’s database. This information can then be viewed two different ways.
