Binder - Model SANDEXX -Scoop Wheel Machine
Sand and gravel cleaning in the Binder+Co SANDEXX scoop wheel is efficient and energy-saving. Efficient because cleaning and dewatering take place in a single operation. In addition to the relatively low operating costs, the Binder+Co scoop wheel impresses with exceptionally low maintenance costs. The SANDEXX scoop wheel reliably dewaters and cleans sand and gravel mixes in a wide range (quantity and composition). A robust design and long service life characterise this machine.
The SANDEXX scoop wheel consists of a trough with a wear-protected inlet chamber and a wheel body fitted with buckets. On the side of the wheel body are the overflow weir units for separation and discharge of fine sand and slurry particles. Optionally the wheel body can be equipped with load-dependent speed control, which ensures optimal bucket filling and drainage of the product.
The areas of application of the Binder+Co scoop wheel
In addition to sand and gravel, the SANDEXX scoop wheel can also be charged with stones up to a grain size of 125 mm. Besides sand washing the SANDEXX scoop wheel is also suitable as a primary dewatering unit for coarse-grained, aqueous turbid after conveying by a suction dredger.
This is how gravel and sand processing works
The feed slurry passes through a wear-protected inlet impact chamber. The sand or gravel is scooped out of the trough through the buckets on the wheel body. These buckets are equipped with wear-resistant, replaceable, lateral and frontal scoop knives as well as conical PU slotted screen mats. Special drainage chambers in the wheel body and a larger gap width of the screen mats in the upper area ensure rapid drainage of the surface water.
