Insights

The bridge design Passavant® Scraper Technology for Longitudinal Tanks spans one or several side by side installed longitudinal tanks. The blade scraper pushes the sludge deposits, against the direction of the flow, into a sludge hopper located at the inlet, whilst the suction system conveys the sediment from the tank bottom directly to a collecting trough.

As an optional system, sludge removal is also possible in both operational directions, enabling the removal of higher quantities of sludge with a shorter sludge retention period. The floating scum is generally moved in flow direction to the outlet end of the sedimentation tank, from where it is removed.
