Aqua-Zyme - Screening / Filter Media
In order to help customers properly dewater liquid waste with on-site dewatering units, Aqua Zyme has designed a screen filtering media mechanism. Covering the interior sidewalls and floor of the dewatering unit, the filter media is appropriately sized in order to retain any flocculated solids while filtered water is allowed to pass through. This liquid water is collected in a common collection chamber, and then released near the bottom of the unit via drain ports. Below are some of the industry-standard specifications for filter media.
For the most effective use of screen filtering media, all filter media must be installed according to specific standards based on the model. All models require filter media on six (6) sides, with our 30 yd. ADS dewatering unit requiring a minimum 410 square feet, and our 15 yd. ADS dewatering unit requiring a minimum of 205 square feet. Additionally, the filter media must cover both sides of the interior dividing wall.
For Septage, trap grease or municipal sludge, the standard filter media is made out of a monofilament modified satin polyester filter material. All of screen filtering media come with a 5-year warranty for normal wear and tear.
