Secondary Containment Liner And Mats
Secondary Containment Liners and Mats are one tool that can help you stay in compliance and provide a system for catching leaks and spills that may occur when using a frac tank.
While a variety of different sizes and shapes are available including economical models (LLDPE) designed for one time use and long-lasting models for multiple uses. One of the most commonly used berms uses aluminum angles and XR-5 material (either twenty-two or thirty ounce). These aluminum bars are inserted into the side of the berm to provide a stable wall around your frac tanks.
One way to use these spill berms during a fracking operation, is to place or drive the frac tank onto the berm until it is completely surrounded. This provides a solid barrier around your frac tank in a quick and efficient manner, saving you time while still providing you with a secondary containment system.
