Easi-Clean - Self Cleaning Mesh
Normal interwoven mesh has less flexibility over self cleaning mesh, this along with wire thickness encourages ‘pegging’ ‘blinding’ and material overrun.
Where are self cleaning screens commonly used ?
- Where the material to be screened is moist, wet or sticky.
- Where the screen surface is ‘blinding’.
- In stone, crushed material, Limestone, Agglime and some soil applications.
- Where a screen cloth has hookstrips for tensioning.

Self cleaning screen options
- Standard pattern with steel cross bands (quickest delivery)
- Diamond pattern with steel cross bands (quickest delivery)
- Standard pattern with PU cross bands (made to order)
- Diamond pattern with PU cross bands (made to order)
- Individual wires vibrate independently at different frequencies preventing material from accumulating between wires.
- 1/3 more open area than square mesh and production increases of up to 40% have been achieved.
- Standard type - for high impact or abrasive material.
- Diamond type - offers more production on lighter material.
- Complete range of apertures
- Any hook style

This screen cloth features both straight and crimped wire (triangular) to form the aperture. The aperture is determined by the round particle size which could pass through the triangle and not the dimension across the diagonal, as this is very often greater.
As the screen vibrates the crimped wires vibrate independently and the straight wires remain tight.
The PU bands are moulded into the mesh and are normally set in line with the machine camber bars. In most applications this allows for greater life of the screen cloth. It prevents the cloth wearing first at the cross band area. Apertures start from 2mm up to 10mm.
This screen features ‘all’ crimped wires to form the aperture. In this instance all of the wires vibrate giving ‘maximum self clean effect’.
The PU cross bands, as opposed to steel ones offer greater screen life in most applications. Apertures start from 2mm up to and including 25mm.
Other self cleaning options include slotted (elongated) mesh or zig zag
