Discovery - Self-propelled Carrier Rigs
Discovery offers self propelled Carrier rigs up to 180 Ton capacity design for medium workover and light drilling operations. This design includes a 4 to 7 axle Carrier, depending upon the required capacity, and hydraulically telescoping Masts.
Depending upon the required application these rigs can include parallelogram type substructure that can be raised with the Drawworks or hydraulically or modular type substructures can also be offered at the client’s preference. This design includes Discovery mechanical drive Drawworks, required rotating equipment, if applicable, high pressure mud systems up to 5000 psi working pressure, customized low pressure mud systems, if applicable, as well as any applicable operational support equipment.
At the client’s request, Discovery can provide Power Swivels, Handling tools, Safety and Fire Fighting equipment, and well control equipment.
The Discovery Carrier rig design can be retrofitted for winterization packages, as applicable.
