Separa - Model LW -Decanter Centrifuges
SEPARA® decanter centrifuge LW can be used to produce both thiekened sludge and extremely dry dewatered cake as well as 3-phase separation and inclassification processes, and can be tailored to gives you the results you need. We have worked on decanter centrifuges since 1983, and there are thousands of installations both in municipal and industrial sectors.
We have worked on decanter centrifuges since 1983, and there are thousands of installations both in municipal and industrial sectors.
We also established and completed two national industry standards for
decanter centrifuges:
- JB/T 502-2015 Solid-Bowl Scroll Discharge Centrifuge;
- JB/T11100-2011 Involute Planetary Gearbox.
Centrifugationis a mechanical separation process in which two or more materials are separated using centrifugal forces, in particularly for the clarifying of liquids in which suspended solids are present
A polymer, suitably chosen for its type and specific characteristics as well as dosage, may be added to the product being fed to the machine in order to improve the performance of solid-liquid separation. But unlike other sludge separation technologies, the SEPARA decanter centrifuge LW can still achieve a high solid/liquid separation rate in many applications without slurry pre-conditioning.
In basic terms, the decanter comprises a solid cylindrical bowl, rotating at high speed. Inside the bowl is a scroll(screw conveyor) rotating at a slightly different speed. The differential speed between bowl and scroll provides the conveying motion to collect and remove the solids, which accumulate at the bowl wall.
SEPARA decanter centrifuge LW can be used to produce both thickened sludge and extremely dry dewatered cake as well as 3-phase separation and in classification processes- Here are some typical processes:
- Clarification of liquids;
- Dewatering of sewage sludge;
- Thickening of slurries;
- Separation of three-phase mixtures, i.e. two immiscible liquid phases and a solid phase;
- Classification of solids in a suspension according to particle;
- Sorting of solids by density`
