Short fiber non woven needle punched geotextile is the most cost effective and extensively used geotextile fabric to ensure improved performance and design life of soil or granular layers in a range of civil, coastal and environmental engineering projects. GEOSINCERE brand short fibre needle punched geotextile fabric is made from 100% virgin polypropylene or polyester fibers that are tangled and interlocked with each other by needle-punching process. Polypropylene has good chemical stability and cost/weight ratio, but polyester offers good chemical resistance, high creep strength and tensile strength. Needle punched process allows tighter binding and entangling of the short fibres, locking them with one another, offering a cohesive, puncture resistant structure. Some additional thermal treatments can also be applied to further improve the performance of the needle punched geotextile. Due to the manufacturing processes, non woven needle punched geotextile fabric provides the excellent mechanical strength, high elongation, and superior filtration and hydraulic conductivity characteristics which make it the ideal geotechnical material necessary for separation, drainage, filtration, protection applications.
